…and now I'm not alone…

So yeah, Brooke decided to try being trendy like me and made herself a blog (I think she was just bored, really…) using Blogger.com (since Xanga is stoopid…)…therefore, you should check it out.

Otherwise, I’m leaving shortly for my fourth Dave Matthews Band concert, which will be in St. Louis. Brooke, Kristen, Adam Waudby and I are all going, so it should be a fun trip, although the driving will probably get annoying. Needless to say, I’m quite excited for this concert, especially since their most recent album is very different from previous offerings…I’m anxious to see what it sounds like in a live setting…and believe you me, I’ll let you know tomorrow…

Of Star Trek and rap music…

So yeah, according to TrekToday, there should be another Star Trek movie in production in the next 2 or 3 years… Jerry and I watched Star Trek: Nemesis yesterday, the last one that was made, and it still irked me how poorly it did in theaters, even though the acting and special effects were better than Episode III… Hopefully in a few years, it’ll be time for Star Trek to once again take its place in the annals of cable TV science fiction…but for now, I’ll just have to be satisfied with Stargate SG-1 and Stargate: Atlantis… 😛

On another note, it appears that Cirroc Lofton is producing a rap album… For those who don’t know (i.e. everyone reading this…), he played Jake Sisko on Star Trek: DS9. Apparently, one of the songs will be some kind of hip-hop version of the original theme song…and this worries me greatly… On the other hand, maybe it’ll actually be better than William Shatner’s “musical offerings”…

Finding Nemo?!

So yeah, Time Magazine released their 100 Greatest Movies list and it includes the likes of Psycho, The Lord of the Rings, Casablanca, It’s A Wonderful Life, Star Wars…and friggin’ Finding Nemo. Seriously…Finding Nemo…granted, it was an excellent movie and won Best Animated Feature of the Year at the Oscars…but is it really one of the 100 Greatest Movies of All time?!!? …there are at least 6 Star Trek movies I can think of that are better than that one….I can think of various animated movies that are better (Aladdin and The Lion King…). I’m thinking that Time may be losing some credibility, yo…

Updates and such…

So yeah, as of last Saturday, I have a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry (now officially, since grades are posted and I apparently graduated…). For now, I’ll continue working at the HelpDesk here at Truman until ~June 17th, when I’ll start worrying about getting all my stuff moved to St. Louis so I can start graduate school at Saint Louis University beginning July 1st. Also, I’ll be getting married June 25th in Hannibal… Yeah, things are changing rather quickly…

Otherwise, I’ll be going home to Columbia for Memorial Day weekend so I can go to Stu and Angela’s wedding. His bachelor party last Friday night was rather fun as well, consisting of frisbee golf, dinner at Flat Branch, and a lot of Halo 2…the best bachelor party ever… 😉
